Tom began his financial services career in 1988 as an independent financial advisor. By 1995, he had started his own financial services company and has maintained that independence throughout his career. After a merger with another firm in Wichita, Tom teamed with Steve Cohlmia in 2002 to form the Cohlmia Hoover Group to specialize in individual financial planning and corporate retirement solutions.
Tom was raised in Garden City, KS and attended Kansas State University where he obtained an engineering degree. An interest in the markets led him to take his analytical skills to the financial services field. He met his wife Bonnie while attending college and they have two sons, Jason and Ryan. As all members of the family are Kansas State graduates, one of Toms passions continues to be supporting the university in many different facets. He also enjoys golf, hunting, travel and any activities that involve spending time with his family. Tom has served multiple terms as a board member of Harry Hynes Hospice.
